wandgestaltung farbe petrol

wandgestaltung farbe petrol

hello! welcome to leonor's sweet creations i'm leonor and today i am showing you three ways of making marble effect on cake. one will be made with 2 colors, although it will end up with 3 or 4 shades of colors. another will be made with many colors and the last with a stripes-effect. let’s start! our first technic is made with the same amount of sugar paste

in black and in white. and with divide our white in two more or less roll it into a log, a thick log. and now the second log. don't roll it too long. its better thicker than long, than thin and long and now our black as well. we set them side by side

and twist them. twist, twist, twist. press it and roll it. then, fold it in the middle and twist it again then roll it again. now, we fold it again and make a ball with it. and knead it 2 or 3 times, just until the ball is smoothed out.

don’t knead it too much so you don't lose the marble effect. and now we roll it out. it looks great already! this 2 colored marble sugarpaste is very elegant. now we need a bit of water on our styrofoam. we need to wet our dummy cake, so that the sugar paste sticks and stays glued on it. i brush it with very little water.

i use a mixture of water and corn syrup. you can also use honey or or a syrup. anything that is sticky. brush with it all over. you can also use glucose with water also works. specially on the edges should be wet, not super wet, just a little bit wet. now we roll our fondant.

i sprinkle a little bit powdered sugar, so that it won’t glue into itself. we can also decide which side to use. we can look at both sides and see which one we prefer. i like this one better. and i can actually take it with my hands. and now, we cover our cake. it's much easier to work with a true cake, because styrofoam are really very light.

o.k, but we've got it! now, with the outer side of your hand press the sugar paste down. and don’t press on top of any wrinkle. don’t press it here. flat it first and then press. so, we have it done. pass and press with your smoother all over to make sure that all is well sticked

and smooth. and then we cut the excess, either directly against the cake or around the cake drum. i cut now here. here is our cake! all done! i have attached a ribbon to make it look prettier. and this is the effect from this cake.

now we will work with many colors. and we will need a main color, which in this case will be white. i will divide it in two. and all other colors i have in different quantities. black should be the smallest amount. below, on the video description i will have the amounts of each color i am using,

so it is easier for you to get an orientation. but now, roll the white in 2 logs. and like with the previous technic, it is better to roll it a bit thicker than too long. now that i have the white rolled into 2 logs, i have also divided all other colors in two groups of fitting colors: yellow, pink, red, oranges fit well together,

as well as, blue, gray, purple, black also fit well together. what i do is to press those colors together on top of the white. and these ones too and i press them well together until they are really well attached. and then bring the 2 groups together. and now i start pressing and rolling them together a bit and now i twist it.

i twist... and then, i roll it so they keep together and fold it in the middle. and then i twist it again and roll it and now i fold it again i knead it just a couple a times only, again not too long, to not lose our marble effect knead it just until smooth

and now let's roll it out and see how it comes out! it is always different! so, now that we have our sugar paste rolled out… it is quite colorful! i’ve already wet our dummy. and now i’ll have a look at both sides to see which side i prefer. the main one.

and let's cover it! this time i will cut the sugar paste close to the cake, to show you the difference and because it would rather look like a hat. and voilã¡! we have made a totally different effect with those many colors. it looks very different than the previous one,

but also very pretty. just another look. i'll put it here and now let’s star with our last technic. now we have again a bunch of different colors. i will also write on the video description how much i have used from each color, but you can make it as you’d like. the main thing is that you use a main color.

i have also a 2nd main color and all others is indifferent how much you use of each. but then, we lay them all together, press them well together so they stick well to each other. and then we twist them 3 times. one, two, three.

o.k. now we roll it. and then we make an ’s’ or a ‘z’ with it. press it together and roll it again. now we twist it 3 times again. roll it. and make an ’s’ or ‘z’ again. now we twist it, a couple of times

until we get this stripe effect, and also until we have the size we need. we will need... we will need for this 20 cm (8”) diameter cake, and it's 10cm (4”) high. it’s 10 + 10 + 20 cm. we’ll need then 40 cm (16”) rolled out sugar paste. ok? now, let me roll it out.

to summarise it: you need to press all colors together, then twist them 3 times, make an ’s’ or ‘z’, roll it again twist 3 times again, make a ‘z’ or ’s’ again, und roll it again. and then twist it until you have these stripes.

try to roll out always in the same direction and not with your rolling pin in all directions so that the stripes stay straight. ok, i think i'm done. i’ll check the other side. i actually like the under side better, so that’s the side i will use. the dummy is also already wet.

and this time i will use my rolling pin. and so it’s how we get stripes, a real pretty effect! the more you twist, the thinner the stripes will be. and the thinner they are, the more it will look like marble. but i find gorgeous this stripe-technic.

i really love it! and it’s so easy! many ask me, how do you manage to make these stripes so straight and so many? now you know how! and how easy it is! and so looks our finished striped cake! i find it amazing! really pretty! you can even make straighter stripes,

or thinner, or use less colours. it’s always a different effect, every time. with these left overs, you can decorate cupcakes or butterflies, stars, or all sorts of decorations. i have here a couple of examples. simply use a round cutter cut a circle to cover a cupcake with.

and here i have some butterflies and stars also look super cute. moreover, you can re-use the rest of the sugar paste. when you make a ball with it again, press it a bit, roll it. you won’t need now to make any ’s’ or ‘z' with it. but you can...

but you can twist it again twist, twist, twist and you will have again a new effect, which you can use! i'll show you! the colors get mixed, and won’t look as previously, but the effect is similar and you can decorate more cupcakes with it

or make small decorations. but don't trash it! it would be a pity! you can really re-use it. when you have enough of this pattern... and as you see, it actually looks more marble now, because the more you twist, the thinner the stripes get. really as marble in real is. but when you have enough of it,

simply knead it well and get a new color. this way, you'll get, for instance, petrol color. but it's totally normal fondant and you can re-use again. i hope you’ve enjoyed it and have liked my cakes. here are the 3 possibilites for making marble effect.

thank you and see you next week! bye!
