hello and welcome to my first video on this channel my name is acriddrop today, i wanna show you my first apartment in japan and explain you my life/ my living in japan especially in this small hut, compared to the german standards as you can see i amstanding at the entrance area this area connects directly to the kitchen but has everything you need to cook and to stow many cupboards, despite my height of almost 6'1" cm i can reach them only with effort

also low installed cupboards gas cooker a sink, a fridge, a microwave and a miniature oven in each supermarket, in any electronics store. you can only buy the small versions unfortunately, i have not seen so far a big one the kitchen is right at the entrance, because the japanese cooking with gas also heating with gas a water heater so it must be vented, as you can see

and it is really dumb, coz in winter the hot air with gas residues cools off fast and stay in the passageway and gas can be smelled pretty clearly it can't be healthy, but let me show you this here, the passage and there the vent tube with a useless filter let's go directly to the bathroom, it is just off the kitchen the small bathroom, here you can shower and there take the bath and... since i am well fed i only shower in the bathtub and don't go bathe

fear getting stuck inside the bathtube the water don't flow, bottle up. have to contact the owner now we will see a superb item, my gem he he, i love this room the toilet. with my baby, electronic baby an electric toilet seat with a control for the bottom soft, for the bottom

bidet for ladies there is also the water strength control also heating or how hot the water should be a time-regulation, if and when you want the seat to be heated we go directly to the first real room first room is in western style, or...more like mixed style a normal floor, i guess laminate a bit messy it is not long ago when we moved in, i guess 2 month

so it is kinda of mixed living. with wood paneling, wood adornments closet doors with paper covering, typical japanese style but the floor is typical western style...*boring* the wall cupboard/closet is really fine very spacious, deep, around 80 centimeters deep you can store a lot pretty messy. don't wanna show it, actually perhaps it can be better viewed here, very deep, i could store 2 big luggage cases and other stuff

is pretty fine solution behind, behind this door is a...a japanese traditional room. washitsu *i think so as you can see the door, sliding door. out of wood covered with special paper when you get inside you step directly on tatami mats it can be smelled, pretty strong

of course, also a futon after a month i got used to it of course here too, a lot of wood there is no suspended ceiling, just some boards glued on the surface smoke detector i think it is mandatory, in at least one room in this room is also a closet same dimensions as in the other room here is my small japanese corner

before i go to sleep i try to learn a bit my computer working place appearances are deceiving i have just a slight cold one more the view of my room. this is how it's looks like room dimensions are 2.5 x 3.5 meters, estimated air conditioner. a newer one, not so loud balcony most apartments have a sliding insect screen

really good in summer, to sleep with the open door on the balcony is the washing machine it is pretty common to have the washing machine on balcony. generally outside cold washing, and then dry in the air very good machine, with a special function can get the stuff almost dry a short view from my balcony now we have reached the roof of the house it had rained and it still drizzling this is the view from the rooftop

there in the background, very, very small skyscrapers of the main railway station. core of the city we are now a little further away 15 minutes distance, by the subway to main station 12 minutes distance from the citycentre some information about the apartment monthly rent is 40,000 yen cold water is not included flat rate per month is 3,000 yen

we pay about 3,000 yen for electricity we pay about 3,500 yen for gas we pay a month about 50,000 yen if you are looking for an apartment, visit a real estate agent there are many affordable offices throughout the city many english speaking offices deposit is 2 months rent high in some cities even 3-4 months rent so we paid at the beginning 80,000 yen

an additional 10,000 yen for the broker and 10,000 for relocation of our stuff so we paid 100,000 yen in advance in the next video i'll tell you something about me how i came to japan, what gave me the incentive to go to japan i want to help all those who are interested in japan, as strong as me give some joy, make the things clear, take away the fear because it is not difficult to go to japan i will explain various options

for pupils, students, workers or trainees there are many paths i will explain this, will investigate, ask japanese explore how it really is and clarify in my videos i say goodbye for now, have a nice week see ya
